LabRecon can be used for nuclear reactor control.

As shown on the left, the position of the control rods of a pressurized water reactor can be controlled to achieve a desired core temperature or to protect the core from meltdowns.

LabRecon can also control the flow of secondary neutron moderators such as boric acid.

An alarm threshold can also be set to alert operators of a high core temperature.
